Welcome to the online art studio, aka the wired atelier*!

This blog is designed for students and families in Allison Fuller-Mulloy's SMHS Art Classes. It is a site for posting our daily work and homework (IWs) each week, ideas and images to explore further, reminders and due dates. I hope this blog will help students by reinforcing the week's major ideas and activities, giving make-up work for absentees, and providing families a look into the atelier every day!

Week 6... Color studies

Art 1: Students spent this week learning about color theory and mixing. Students created their own color wheels using hues, tints, and shades of the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. Students also began creating designs using their initials and typography as inspiration. They will use their new knowledge of color schemes to make a triptych of paintings using the same design and different color schemes.

Art 2/Photo: Students spent the week investigating a photographer for their research project due 3/22, shooting pictures and investigating in their workbooks for their ABC photo project due 2/22, and defining key photography vocab terms in their workbooks due 2/25.

Art 3/4: Students completed tier Haiti poster designs, critiqued in their workbooks, and began planning and investigation for their next choice projects.
